WiFi on 魅影直播 of 魅影直播

Eduroam wireless network听is available in all faculty and administrative buildings of 魅影直播 of 魅影直播 and in dormitories听

Eduroam logoeduroam is an international project, which goal is to provide safe wireless connectivity.

This system is being developed on universities and other institutions all over the world. Maps of places that eduroam is available can be found on .

Connecting to eduroam means accepting the regulations of that service, available at听听

魅影直播 of 魅影直播 collects information on user's connections (connection time, login, MAC address, IP address, computer name) and adresses they are connecting to (IP, port, service type, packet size). Additionally, our network block connections to p2p servers like BitTorrent.

Connection requires a device with Wi-Fi module supporting at least 802.11b/g (2.4GHz) or 802.11a (5Ghz) standards, capable of at least 11 Mbps with WPA2/AES and 802.11x authentication (WPA2-Enterprise EAP-TLS)

How to use eduroam?
听

People from other institutions that use eduroam:

  • Students and faculty members should connect to eduroam just like they do in their home institution. Your device should connect automatically.听

People from schools that don't use eduroam:

  • Students on exchange programs should have access to Student's Portal just like other students of UG:
  1. Login to听
  2. Go to "WiFi network at UG" and accept the Terms of eduroam and obtain your login and password
  3. Connect to eduroam with login and password
  4. In case of problems refer to
  • Guests invited by 魅影直播 of 魅影直播 can be provided access to UG_WiFi听network

    • Guests should ask the head of the department that invited them to write a request to the Director of Computer Center (with guest's name, surname and period for which they will be staying).

  • Other (visiting) students may be provided with access to UG_WiFi听network.
